June’s 19thwalk on 7th August was the wettest walk to date - and now it is over she hopes it will be the wettest of the 36 walks! It was the first of the three scheduled in Dublin and Glendalough Diocese beginning from St Brigid’s Church in the centre of Castleknock in north-west Dublin. Eleven members and friends joined in prayer in the church at 11am - those who were going to walk and some others including Anne Cadoo (Branch Leader) and MU stalwarts Jean Denner and Pat Gray. The lovely prayers were led by the rector of Castleknock - Canon Paul Houston. June had time inside to admire the beautiful church and especially the fabulous Harry Clarke window, depicting the saints George, Hubert and Luke.
